Our team of six arrived safely for the three-day ENDFGM training. Over the past two days, we have engaged over 300 participants, including a notable number of men, which is encouraging.
Disturbingly in the school we visited, we found that all girls in grades 7 and 8 have undergone female genital mutilation (FGM). Additionally, there is a societal stigma against marrying women who have not undergone FGM.

The scene at Olmukiya Primary School paints a stark picture of the challenges faced by its pupils. Imagine sitting on rocks, using your lap as a makeshift desk. The lack of chairs and desks forces these children into uncomfortable learning conditions, and they are constrained to use a single exercise book for all subjects. This situation underscores a significant need for basic educational resources and infrastructure. As we consider how to assist these young learners, let’s hope for collective efforts to improve their environment and provide them with the tools they need for a better education.

In many remote areas, owning a Bible is a luxury. Poverty and isolation prevent families from ever accessing one, with some unable to afford it even after days of work. We meet this need by providing free printed Bibles to those hungry for God’s Word. For the illiterate and oral communities, we offer solar-powered audio Bibles in their native languages—bringing Scripture to the blind, elderly, and unreached in a way they can understand and cherish.
