Inspiring Hope & Healing To Africa's Underserved
Healthwise Foundation is a Christian-based nonprofit founded in 2009, dedicated to empowering underserved communities across Africa to live healthy, dignified lives. Grounded in Christian values, we deliver holistic care through intervention, prevention, and expanding programs, partnering with local churches and government agencies to provide medical outreach, education, and spiritual support.
Intervention
We deliver tailored programs like the Add-a-Room initiative for girls’ safety, sanitary pad distribution, medical outreaches, fighting Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), and promoting the value of every life to empower underserved communities across Africa.
Prevention
We prevent ongoing harm in underserved African communities through programs like Add-a-Room for girls’ safety, sanitary pad distribution to stop transactional sex, FGM prevention, and medical outreach—protecting dignity and valuing every life.
Purposeful Multiplication
Our community-based, affordable programs are designed for easy multiplication—like Add-a-Room, One-Manyatta-One-Toilet, menstrual health support, and Ending FGM—creating ripple effects of dignity, safety, and transformation.

Why HWF?
Choosing Healthwise Foundation means partnering with a faith-based, community-focused organization committed to delivering sustainable, holistic health and empowerment. Our skilled, dedicated team implements proven programs—rooted in compassion and cultural respect—that address critical issues like girls’ safety, menstrual health, and ending FGM, creating lasting, positive impact in underserved African communities.
Our Programmes
Our programs are geared toward empowering underserved communities with holistic, faith-based initiatives that promote safety, dignity, and long-lasting impact.

The Add-a-Room Program provides safe, private spaces for girls in rural areas, helping prevent gender-based violence, school dropouts, and harmful traditions. Each room includes a solar-powered lamp so girls can study at night and stay on track in school. Rooted in faith and purpose, this program empowers families to protect, educate, and uplift their daughters.
Menstrual Care Outreach
Menstrual Care Outreach empowers girls with dignity by providing washable sanitary towels, menstrual health education, and support. This initiative helps prevent school dropouts and protects girls from engaging in transactional sex for pads—giving them the confidence, safety, and opportunity to thrive.

The Nomadic Care Mission brings vital services to remote, underserved communities—delivering mobile clinics, health education, and support with compassion and consistency. Guided by faith and a deep commitment to human dignity, we go where others can’t, offering hope, healing, and the love of Christ in action.

End FGM Program addresses harmful practices by promoting education, advocacy, and compassionate outreach. Rooted in faith and dignity, we empower communities to protect girls from Female Genital Mutilation while respecting positive cultural values and honoring the God-given worth of every girl.

One Manyatta, One Toilet provides affordable, accessible toilets to pastoralist communities, tackling open defecation with culturally respectful solutions. This program promotes health, safety, and dignity—especially for women and girls—creating lasting, sustainable impact.
Sanctity Human Life
Sanctity of Human Life champions the God-given value of every person—from the unborn to the elderly. Through education, advocacy, and compassionate outreach, this faith-rooted initiative empowers communities to protect life, stand against harmful practices, and uphold dignity across every stage of life.
